Operating during Boil Water Notices

VistaClear is designed to remove sub-micron contamination, including some bacteria, from municipal source water.

That said, we recommend turning OFF the water supply to the system and not using it during boil water notices.

Most dental offices close temporarily during boil water notices for two main reasons:

1. Many practices believe it is not worth the potential risk to operate when city authorities have made a boil water declaration.
2. Since water should not be used for washing hands, drinking fountains, etc., it’s generally not worth the trouble to operate under such restrictive conditions.

After the boil notice is lifted, the system should be purged and cleaned to ensure any possible contamination is removed.
